Are you pregnant and looking for birth support or just delivered as a new mom and wondering what are the next steps with baby at home. When you choose to partner with Doula Touch NYC, you have the option of receiving care in three ways: birth support, postpartum, and newborn care. All of these options are available to you both day and night for varied lengths of time depending on your needs. Together, we’ll create a unique package that works best for you.

Below you will find a list of my qualifications that have equipped me to be the best full spectrum doula I can be. I believe it’s of equal importance to speak on my philosophy surrounding birth, postpartum, and beyond.

My most important role as a birth and postpartum doula is to empower my clients to make informed decisions that are right for their unique journey. I do this through educating my clients on the topics that are most important to them and advocating for their choices during pregnancy, delivery, and the postpartum period.

I want to plainly state that I am an ally to the LGBTQ community, and I love that my work allows me to partner with every kind of growing family. If you or your partner identify as LGBTQ, know that I will always listen intentionally to your questions and advocate for your needs.

  • Soon to be parents are often warned by well-meaning friends or family members about the hardships that await them during pregnancy; whether it be the morning sickness, lack of sleep, or tales of a delivery gone wrong. The truth is, there’s no telling what will lie ahead for you on your childbearing journey (good or bad), but with the right support, I believe it’s more than possible for new parents to have a peaceful, joyful, and fulfilling experience throughout their pregnancies, into postpartum, and even during labor. It all comes down to having the right preparation and proper care in the areas you’re needing it most.

Leading up to your birth, we’ll have consultations during which you’re free to ask any questions that have been on your mind about the birthing process. Together, we’ll make a birth plan that will help you visualize tangible goals for your birth. Remember, the birth plan exists to serve as a roadmap for your birth, but it should allow for surprise twists and turns that may feel intimidating. The good news is you’ll never have to face them alone.

I recognize that the way you choose to birth is a deeply personal decision, and I’m excited to be present with you in whichever environment you choose. New parents deserve non judgmental support and unbiased information regarding answers to their questions about their pregnancies and imminent births. As your birth doula, I’ll be your advocate every step of the way.

  • While every labor and delivery is different, there is one commonality between all of them: the birthing person needs a strong support system and intentional care in the weeks following their birth. As a birth and postpartum doula, I’m uniquely positioned to help you navigate not only pregnancy and birth, but what this whole journey has ultimately led you into: life with your baby.

I’ll be with you from the beginning to take care of the day to day must do’s and ensure that you receive all the time and rest you need to recover physically from your delivery. The fourth trimester is an extremely valuable time, and far too many parents find themselves worried about doing everything right rather than simply being and bonding with their babies. I’ll be with you to answer any questions you have about breastfeeding techniques, sleep patterns, and anything you're curious about when it comes to life with your infant.

Overnight shifts are intentionally designed to help you sleep well and regain your strength in the months following your birth. Daytime shifts are also available should you like a more hands-on approach to help. In addition, I offer household care to keep your home environment running smoothly. This can look like meal prep, tidying, running loads of laundry; essentially anything that will allow you to have more time with your baby and make you feel more comfortable in your space.
